Found in south Hertfordshire, the North Mymms Park venue is filled with rich history dating back to the 16th century. The venue offers licensed indoor rooms and an outdoor Loggia for ceremonies with a total venue capacity of up to 400 guests.
Shayo & Dami planned for a memorable outdoor summer wedding ceremony. The weather had forecast rain at the time of the ceremony. However, the couple decided to act on faith that the weather would be on their side for this highly anticipated wedding. What a decision that turned out to be-perfect for what they had planned. Preparations took place at the bride and groom suites at North Mymms park. I trekked the beautiful grounds capturing the landscapes to aid in my storytelling of the day. Aside the unwanted weather forecast, the morning prep was calm and full of excitement for the day ahead, with plenty of emotions and anticipation.
The ceremony took place at the outdoor Loggia. All the seats were occupied as the couple had planned for a big number wedding, with some late arrivals having to sit a corner off the ceremony. This worked really well for pictures. After the ceremony, the couple marched straight to the champagne tower to mark their newfound union, surrounded by guests. Then some gorgeous group pictures using the back drop of the tall trees and greenery scenes of North Mymms Park. Followed by stunning reception reveal and couple photos at the Pavilion.
The wedding breakfast took place at the Pavilion building adjacent to the main house. The floral details brought a nice touch of blended colours in a white dominant room, with natural lights at the start before it drops away and the room takes on a more evening feel.
After some speeches, cutting of cake and a very intimate first dance, we stole the couple away for some more photos in their second outfit which saw them in a more Nigerian traditional wedding attire. The second entrance saw a more filled walkway with everyone surrounding the couple as they took to the dance floor. Everyone joined in and the dance floor was packed for the night.
During this time, the couple had arranged catering for some small chops for guests in the garden outside the Pavilion. The dessert table and the ice cream cart topped up the perfect guest centred wedding.
